Over in the meadow, in the sand in the sun,
越过草地， 在阳光下的沙地上，
Lived an old mother toadie and her little toadie one,
住着一只大蟾蜍妈妈和一只蟾蜍小宝宝。
“Wink” said the mother, “I wink!” said the one,
“眨眨眼吧！”妈妈说；“我来眨眨眼！”蟾蜍小宝宝说，
So they winked and they blinked in the sand in the sun.
于是，它们在阳光下的沙地上眨着眼睛。


Over in the meadow, where the stream runs blue,
越过草地， 那里流淌着蓝色的河流，
Lived an old mother fish and her little fishes two,
住着一只大 鱼妈妈和两条小鱼宝宝。
“Swim!” said the mother, “We swim!” said the two,
“游起来吧！”妈妈说；“我们 游泳喽！”两条小鱼说，
So they swam and they leaped where the stream runs blue.

于是，它们在蓝色的溪流中游着跳着。
