"Ding, ding! Ding, ding!"

Dad came into Chip's room.

He was ringing a bell. Chip sat up in his bed.

"It's time to get up." said Dad.

"Mum's away and we have lots of housework to do."

“叮,叮!叮,叮!”

爸爸走进Chip的房间。

他按铃。Chip坐在他的床上。

“该起床了。”爸爸说。

“妈妈不在家，我们有很多家务要做。”

Dad rang the bell on the stairs.

"Time to get up!" he said.

"Do we have to?" asked Biff. "It's the weekend."

爸爸下楼时按响了门铃。

“该起床啦!”他说。

"Yes," said Dad. "Mum gets back tonight.

The house is a mess. We must tidy up."

"I suppose so," yawned Chip.

"Good. I'll prepare breakfast," said Dad.

The children came down for breakfast.

"Bad news," said Dad. "The milk has gone off.

I've burnt the toast and we've run out of juice.

"Oh no!" said Kipper. "I'm hungry!"

"Wel'll have to go to the supermarket," said Dad.

"We need some more food. ."

"I've got a better idea," said Chip. "Let's have breakfast in cafe."

孩子们下来吃早饭。
