One summer afternoon， a mother duck sat quietly on her nest. In the nest were five beautiful eggs. She sat patiently, waiiting for the five eggs to hatch into little ducklings.

The father duck was also waiting. He marched up and down beside the nest wondering why i t took so long for eggs t.o hatch. At last the mother duck quacked for joy; the eggs were rocking back and forth. She sprang from the nest and srood there with the father duck.

鸭爸爸也在等着。他在巢旁走来走去，奇怪为什么蛋要花这么长时间才能孵化。最后母鸭高兴得嘎嘎叫;蛋在来回摇动。她从巢里跳出来，和鸭爸爸一起呆在那里。
